If wires are now looped re-cut and strip wire 3/8 of an inch to a straight length insert. Replace access panel, then turn electric power on. Place new thermostat in bracket making SURE fits firmly against tank. Remove plastic terminal protector: Determine which Is your wiring from Fig.

Carefully fold insulation back to cover thermostat. Remove appropriate access panel top or bottom and fold back insulation. Affair wires to new thermostat. Disconnect wires and slide thermostat out of bracket.
