1. **Compact Size:** The EEMAX Spex48T is a compact tankless water heater, making it ideal for small spaces. It can be installed on the wall or the floor, and it doesn't take up much room.
2. **Energy Efficiency:** This electric water heater is energy efficient as it only heats water when needed, reducing standby energy losses associated with traditional tank water heaters.
3. **Quick Recovery:** The EEMAX Spex48T can deliver hot water at a rate of 4.8 gallons per minute (GPM), making it suitable for households with moderate hot water demand.
4. **Digital Display:** The water heater comes with a digital display, allowing users to easily monitor temperature settings, diagnostics, and operational data.
5. **Easy Installation:** The installation process is relatively straightforward, especially if you are replacing an old tank-style water heater. However, you will need a 240-volt electrical supply and proper venting.
6. **Durable Construction:** The heater is made of copper heat exchanger and stainless steel components, ensuring long-lasting performance.
1. **Higher Upfront Cost:** Electric tankless water heaters generally have a higher upfront cost compared to traditional tank water heaters. The EEMAX Spex48T is no exception.
2. **Limited Flow Rate:** With a flow rate of 4.8 GPM, the EEMAX Spex48T may not be suitable for larger households with high hot water demand or for running multiple appliances simultaneously.
3. **Electrical Requirements:** The water heater requires a dedicated 240-volt electrical supply, which may necessitate upgrading your electrical system.
4. **Potential for Cold Water Sandwich:** In some instances, you might experience a "cold water sandwich," where hot water is followed by a brief period of cold water before the next hot water supply.
Conclusion:The EEMAX Spex48T electric tankless water heater offers several advantages, including compact size, energy efficiency, quick recovery, digital display, and durable construction. However, it comes with a higher upfront cost, limited flow rate, electrical requirements, and the potential for cold water sandwich. Weighing these pros and cons, it's recommended for households with moderate hot water demand, small spaces, and a budget for a more expensive water heating solution. If you have higher hot water demand or a limited budget, a traditional tank water heater or a smaller flow rate tankless water heater might be a better option.
I m missing the little set screw that holds lid onto unit and it doesn come with any mounting hardware which quite frankly would depend on your substrate so really you just need to find a basic little machine probably $.50 at Home Depot. And very nice preowned condition. Eemax SPEX48T Electric Tankless Water Heater 4.8kW 240V Point Of Use this is the unit water heater and lid only. Used Untested.
